I am trying to find out if I should remove "Java TM 6
update 7" if I have "Java 6 update 13". I recieved a notice that" Sun Java JRE 1.6/6.x verison 6.o.70.6" should be unstalled. Is this program the same as " Java TM 6 update 7? I found the JRE 1.6/1.6 version 6.0.70.6 in program files but not in add and remove programs. How do I remove it if is not in add and remove programs? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Even though Java 6 update 13 is backward compatible you need to make sure that by uninstalling old versions of the program you don't render another program that uses it to be disabled. Using the Advance mode check the path of these old installations. The enclosed link to a Java website addresses the top 15 problems w/Java & how to fix them. http://java.com/en/download/help/index.xm Please keep us posted here on the forum whether you need more help or solve your problem. The info you supply may help someone else.

Good luck & regards, wr

@ Thomas4444 I would appreciate you showing some respect for this forum by not posting off topic junk such as this. What does auto insurance have to do with the security of a computer? By doing this you certainly have advised the world of your total lack of respect & mental comprehensiveness. Secunia if you're monitoring -junk such as this needs to be removed from the forum. Unsubscribing from this thread so that my inbox is not filled with worthless junk again.
