Received the notice that my Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2003 is insecure. I'm not interested at this time in using the suggested fixes I found in the forums but want to, instead, utilize the "Ignore Directories & Paths option" mentioned in the Extra Information section of the Insecure Programs page. Apparently, it's different than Ignore Program choice in the Toolbox. Pls tell me where I can find what I'm looking for. Thank you.

Unless the program is in a backup/install location, not wise to create ignore rule-that's defeating the purpose of Secunia PSI-suggest you do a *fix*

I understand. I've run the MS update and do have the current and secure program. Therefore, the Secunia-determined insecure version is in a back up program.

Creating an IGNORE RULE

Click on the SETTINGS tab>scroll to the bottom & click on CREATE IGNORE RULE

In the RULE NAME BOX insert something like MY BACKUP DRIVE

In the RULE BOX type D:\ (or the drive letter U wish to ignore)

Click SAVE IGNORE RULE>CLOSE

The drive will continue to be scanned by default but the result will not be published.
