Your report keeps showing this as an end of life program on my computer. I cannot remove it. It tells me that the file does not exist yet I get the warning every morning from you. Help.

Secunia pinpoints exactly where the file is. Are U using PSI in the Advanced Mode?

If not U should download it or switch to that mode if installed.

In some cases the old and insecure version of a programme is not automatically removed when
installing the new and secure version.

It could also be located on an external drive or partition which U have forgotten about.

To locate the exact file that the Secunia PSI has detected, please follow there guidelines using the
advanced interface:
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
* Click on the entry of the programme to “expand” it.
* Click on Technical details to see the installation path of the detected file.

Not heard of that problem before.

Try redownloading PSI from here:
http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/191...

No one has reported any switching problems using this release.

I'm not using the 1.0.0.5 BETA but if the Overview page is similar to v.1.0.0.4 @ the top right it says Secunia Personal Software Inspector immediately under that it gives a choice-Simple/Advance-whichever mode you're using will be colored black & the other choice not being used will be colored blue & underlined. Hope this helps-good luck & regards-Maurice hope you have a nice weekend.

Regards, wr

I did as you suggested and downloaded the Beta. It allowed me to get to the advance function. It removed all my problems and I now show no problem as it removed the five items shown to me every day. My last question is should I go back to the simple function? I am not an advanced user. Will it hurt me to stay on the advanced? Can I go back to the simple again?

Thank you so much for your help.

If U really want to revert click SIMPLE next to ADVANCED at the top of the overview page.

Despite the rather nice warning by Secunia U do not need to be an advanced user to use the advanced mode. I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE U stay with Advanced.
It searches for more insecurities.
It provides a toolbox to help U solve problems.

Some insecurities are difficult to resolve hence the warning about advanced users.

Using OSI,PSI (Simple) or clicking the ignore button merely hides things. Stick with advanced & use the Forum if necessary. Someone will help U.
