We need to know what system you are running and service packs. We also need to know what you mean by "removing". Don't you want the program at all any more or do you mean you want to remove the threat so your secunia score goes to 100%. Also are you using the advance mode of secunia? Basically, if you have Vista the download you want is from Microsoft down loads #970059. http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/en/default.aspx... You need to trace to the file where it is kept and with the cursor scan (Hold over entries) all ppt until you find the threat # ppt. Remove it and download and replace with the correct #970059

'Security Update for PowerPoint Viewer 2007 (KB970059)
A security vulnerability exists in Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2007 that could allow arbitrary code to run when a maliciously modified file is opened. This update resolves the vulnerability so that Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2007 documents are handled appropriately".

To locate the exact file that the Secunia PSI has detected, please follow there guidelines using the
advanced interface:
* Click on the entry of the program to “expand” it.
* Click on Technical details to see the installation path of the detected file.
* Remember the installation path and close down the menu.
* Click Open Folder and locate the detected file.

If you are not getting automatic updates you may need to go to Microsoft downloads and get the complete update for all Office 2007 and down load it also. The 2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 2 (SP2)

O.K. then all you have to do is follow the instruction accordingly. How to locate files. Scan with cursor and remove the outdated ppt file(12.0.6414.1000) and replace with the proper one. You should be o.k.
