I read somewhere (sorry, can't check this) that Secunia advises users to uninstall the old version before installing the new version. Is this true?
I have the Secunia PSI free version.

@esheldon there is no paid version of Secunia PSI-there is a
corporate version but it's not PSI. To install the latest version of PSI go to http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal... there is 2 choices to download l. v1.0.0.4 the latest stable version or 2. v1.0.0.7 Beta. Either way you don't have to uninstall your current version, just right click the PSI icon in sys tray & choose EXIT-then go to download link & Secunia will automatically uninstall/install the program--couldn't be easier-I wish every software vendor made it this easy--thanks Secunia.

Good luck & regards, wr

Thanks Maurice Joyce & wr for your speedy replies. I'm using v1.0.0.4. Will follow your suggestion(s) to Exit & install new version to overwrite older version, etc. (whenever--I prefer to go with the stable versions until beta is proven.) Thanks again.

You're very welcome, there always seems to be plenty of help here on the Forum, so don't hesitate to ask or post a suggestion that may help someone else.
