I have Becky! Internet Mail Ver.2 (2.50.07) installed on my system. For whatever reason, PSI keeps insisting that I update to that exact version. Just for the fun of it, I reinstalled Becky and rescanned the system. The problem still exists. Obviously, PSI's scanning and detection is slightly broken.

The program was detected in: c:\Program Files\RimArts\B2\B2.exe

Insecure Program Version Detected

Becky! Internet Mail 2.x 2.5.0.7

Solution from Secunia advisory (English) (SA33892)
Update to version 2.50.

Yes, I see the same thing here. The version number in the About box of Becky is reported as 2.50.07, but the executable's properties show "2.5.0.7" for the version number.

So this looks like a mis-detection on the part of PSI. Can some other users please confirm?

I have the same problem. Secunia PSI detects version 2.5.0.7 but I have installed 2.50.07 .
BTW: Becky Internet Mail can be found here: http://www.rimarts.co.jp/becky.htm

On my Vista PC with Becky! 2.50.07(for Japanese Edition), same message is shown.

You might try 'Big Dave's' solution for Google Chrome which I just discovered a couple of days ago. Go to 'search' on your computer. Type in Becky, then open the location for all applicable folders. Chances are, you'll find a newer and older version. Delete the older one (or one with the lowest number) and re-scan. It worked on Chrome. My experience with Secunia is that 'it' is never wrong, it's always something I'm missing.

I try older version of Becky! Internet Mail from my archives.

ver 2.50.7 at Becky! Internet Mail - Help - About
2, 5, 0, 7 at B2.exe Properties - Version tab - File Version Value
2, 5, 0, 7 at B2.exe Properties - Version tab - Product Version Value

ver 2.50.3 at Becky! Internet Mail - Help - About
2, 5, 0, 3 at B2.exe Properties - Version tab - File Version Value
2, 5, 0, 3 at B2.exe Properties - Version tab - Product Version Value

ver 2.24.1 at Becky! Internet Mail - Help - About
2, 2, 4, 1 at B2.exe Properties - Version tab - File Version Value
2, 2, 4, 1 at B2.exe Properties - Version tab - Product Version Value

So Becky! Internet Mail's sub version was separated on product version.
2.ab.c -> 2.a.b.c

Seems like Secunia fixed it - mine is showing up correctly now after a rescan :-)
