A scan showed that there was a more secure version available. I followed your link, clicked 'download', got the security message about opening folders from unknown sources (!) and then my PC froze. After 10 minutes I tried to 'X' close IE8 - no good. Then I tried to close it from Task Manager - still no good. In the end, I had to reboot. I then tried it again going straight to the Adobe site - same thing happened = reboot. I then tried again, uninstalling the current version first, but no change!
This has happened before & I've no idea how/why it eventually worked then. My CPU was showing 100% during these problems. No such problems or useage on any other downloads.
Is anyone else having the same problem please?

|Hi. I posted here in case other Secunia users had had the same problem.
I've now found that others have had similar problems downloading from the Adobe site so I followed the advice & downloaded it from CNet.
grateful to you guys for your help - as always!
