Hello.

I've installed the latest version of Secunia PSI v1.5.0.0,and after a full scan it reports that Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 is insecure.I select Download Solution and it sends me to windows update.I have applied all the necessary MS hotfixes, and done re-scan in Secunia PSI,but the problem persists.

P.S I also get under Secure Browsing,Winamp as insecure,to the point, this file:

P.P.S I'm using Advanced mode..

Thanks in advance and cheers :)

Today i scanned again with Secunia and Windows XP Pro disappeared from Insecure list.I don't know how, maybe it was just a bug or something :)

Under Secure Browsing i have Winamp 5.x and IE 6.x as insecure,no solution,so i will leave like that.Anyway i have 100% secunia score so i don't worry.

Cheers ....

I had the same problem this week, but it DID NOT disappear. I've checked my installed programs (SP3 is installed) -- my default browser is Firefox 3.5.0.0 but I do have IE8 installed for situations like this.
When I use the "Direct Download link", MS doesn't indicate that I have any security updates available.

I've restarted, etc. but PSI still says that SP3 is insecure.

Try using the <Custom> button in MSUpdate. Using the <Express> button dosn't show all the updates. Pardon me if you already knew this.

Fred
