I have a HP Deskjet F2100 series, updates are installed only on my permission....
Secunia didn't notify me about updates that has to be done, about the
printer software....after the scan.
I was notified by HP.
I want to know if you security-awared people has experienced the same, just for the simple reason that I want to improve Secunia PSI...great
peace of work..!!

In a nutshell-yes. Secunia does not report on general updates, cosmetic changes, Beta programs, etc. Secunia PSI only reports on insecurities & offers options to correct these problems. Which option to choose is entirely up to the user as to what best suits their specific needs. If you have any problems, please post them here on the Forum with as many details as possible-I'm sure someone will be glad to help.

Edit This link is for a free Updater program. It doesn't make any changes to your system, merely reports on updates for your programs. http://www.filehippo.com/default.aspx
