Hi,
I am new here. First, thank you for this great program! It is very helpful and good for beginners and professionals.

Coming here, I had massive problems to log on.
I always use Firefox (v 3.5 German) and I never found the logon form on the website.
This is, what your site looks like in Firefox. There is no logon form visible:
http://bayimg.com/hACCAAace

One more problem I encountered:
When asking for a password, you do not accept a 6-digit (numbers only) password. This is okay, because 6 numbers may be not secire enough. But, again while using firefox, I didn't get any error message.

Well, now I will create a new thread for my really problem, for what I have come here.
thanks
Andreas

Out of curiosity what are you using for add-ons. If you have access to WOT install it. Somehow, it appears that you are getting a misdirect as the link you supplied ends up in Sweden. Secondly you must either disable some of your add-ons or use "Temporarily allow all of this page." Remember if you are using cookie and script controls they must be set to allow for the sites you want to operate within or download from. (I've forgotten about them too.) REPEAT "DOWNLOAD FROM" these two add-ons can keep you from downloading properly.

Hi, thanks for your answer.

Here are all AddOns listed:
AdblockPlus 1.0.2
Bid-O-Matic Firefox Extension 1.2
DownloadHelper 4.5
Forecastfox 0.9.10.1
IE Tab 1.5.20090525 *
Java Quick Starter 1.0
NoScript 1.9.5
Torbutton 1.2.1
WindowsUpdate 1.1.11

of course, AdBlock and NoScript DO HAVE appropriate exemptions stored for secunia website. TorButton is deactivated. Any other AddOns should nothing to do with this site.

(* IE Tab enabled me to setup an account at all, since any attempt using Firefox engine results in hidden Login form).

never heard WOT before... 'world of trouble'? :-)
Google tells me, there is an AddOn "Web of Trust" - you mean this? Do you recommend just generally or does it help in my case? Anyway, I will test it, its description sounds interesting :-)

Hm? What do you mean by 'getting a misdirect'?
I used just any image hoster by chance, I have no idea where this service is hosted...
If I get you right, you have some problem with a swedish site?
So now I have used a German image hosting service:

well, you know, it is about Login, not about download?

Today, I am able to use this forum with Firefox.
Either something was changed by Secunia or my Firefox was able to re-use a login cookie from my last visit. Yesterday, I finally was able to login using IE Tab (which invokes InternetExplorer engine in Firefox). I never tried out before, but I suppose IE Tab stored a cookie into Firefox. I guess my successful login with Firefox results from a cookie set by IE Tab.

Currently, Firefox holds these cookies:
secunia.com secforum
secunia.com PHPSESSID

cheers
Andreas

W.O.T. yes "world of trust" helps you insure that what you click is where you are going. There are some real cuties on the web. You can click on a food recipe and get a porn site(had it happen). Yes,I did misunderstand as to whether it was downloading or using Secunia site and signing into the forum. Again, No Scripts could cause this, check No Scripts options white list and see if Secunia is listed now. It should be. As far as I know IE and Firefox are still kept as separate browsers under IE tab. F.Y.I. again as far as I know, Secunia is a Denmark site and the IP address is 213.150.41.226+1. This is why I did not understand why the link took me to Sweden and the assumption of a misdirect. Secondly when using the link I found nothing mentioned about Secunia. It sounds like you are on top of it now. The "download" was only mentioned in retrospect,Firefox No Script acts on both the site you are working on ,and when you are trying to download. Firefox 3.5 beta 4 (2) tester Maybe, it's the difference between U.S. and Europe
