According to my internet options, internet Explorer is my default browser, but Secunia has indicated that it isn't. I have two other browsers Firefox and Google Chrome. I think my Secunia is accessed through Firefox, would that be a cause for confusion? Is it possible to have Adobe installed without Secunia showing it to be a risk? Should I, perhaps, close my Secunia and join again through Internet Explorer. please advise, Regards. |

I have since uninstalled Secunia and reinstalled it using Explorer, it doesn't seem to make any difference, Secunia indicated that Internet Explorer is not my default browser. What does it take to convince Secunia that Explorer is my default browser when it is my default browser? Help! please. Regards. |

I am also receiving the message.. "The link you are trying to open requires Internet Explorer to function correctly and will therefore not use your default browser" ... When I click on the "Download Solution" button. I only have one browser installed, IE8. And I checked the registry for data in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\HTTP\shell\open\command and it reads ... "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE>EXE" -nohome Any ideas on how to get Secunia PSI to recognize IE8 as my default browser? |

For GH-UpNorth I suggest you stay with the thread mentioned above :- http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/219... & post you question there , where I think that you are more likely to get help - including any from Secunia. If you scroll through there are several suggestions to try. Have you tried Maurice Joyce's suggestion here :- http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/249... -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |
