I have v 6.20.1099.0 loaded (by Windows) & showing as "patched" & an installation path of C:\WINDOWS\system32\msxml6.dll - in fact this file is in the systam32 folder .dllcache , which seems to be a "hidden" folder. I use XP & not vista , so I am loathe to go further - except , silly questions , where is your version located , have you done a fullscan/reboot since it was installed and was it a Windows install or was it a third party install. -- It always seems impossible until its done. I just cannot.....cannot find where to download this. The link in psi does not send me to xml 6 sp2. The download does NOT APPEAR IN WINDOWS OR MICROSOFT UPDATE WHEN I GO THERE. I CANNOT FIND IT NO MATTER HOW I SEARCH. Can anyone give me the link to this program for xp sp2, please? Thanks, Sue |

Sue, The file U want is here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?Fa... The trouble is U appear to be using Windows XP SP2. The download link above requires U to have SP3 installed. As a point of interest many Microsoft updates are now reliant on SP3 which was issued over a year ago & to my knowledge is still offered in Microsoft Update. -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 16GB RAM |

I see lots ofr feedback about troubles w/ installs of sp3. So have stayed w/ sp2. Will skip the xml problem until a later date. |

The path is looking on drive D but the file is on drive C I don't know why it thinks it is on D but I'm using 64 bit Vista not 32. | ||||||||

By default PSI checks all hard drives on a PC. I suspect U have an OEM version of Windows installed & the reinstallation files are on a D drive partition. If this is the case there is no exposure & it is safe to create an ignore rule for that drive. CREATING A GLOBAL IGNORE RULE ============================= 1.Click on the SETTINGS tab>scroll to the bottom & click on CREATE IGNORE RULE 2.In the RULE NAME BOX insert something like MY BACKUP DRIVE 3.In the RULE BOX type D:\ (or the drive to ignore) 4.Click SAVE IGNORE RULE>CLOSE All drives will continue to be scanned by default but the result from the drives ignored will not be published. 10:00 03/01/2010 -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 16GB RAM |
