first of all this is not meant as a criticism since your product is great!

you are incorrectly reporting percentages with your world map statistics. the increases you are referring to are percentage points not percentages.

for example, you say that the average computer score without PSI is 85% and the average computer score running PSI is 95%, a 10% increase. This is a 10 percentage point increase. In fact, it is actually a 12% increase over the computer without PSI installed.

I hope you will consider changing the way you report your statistics.

thanks for listening...

Not sure if this is a play on words. All you did for me is confuse the issue. To me 85% from 95% is 10%. It will remain as such. No misunderstanding please. This is not a criticism. However percentages in any language are the same. Not a major issue by any means, not worth repeating.

Seconded. However, do you want to change it to "12% increase" or "10%-points increase"? Again, there is a difference.

FWIW , 10%-points is exact whilst a 12% increase would produce 95.2%. So , I guess , the former would be easier to administer by Secunia .

It might seem niggly as we are talking (damned) statistics , but if you talk pay rises (Ha Ha) or prices , then such differences could be very important .

Point taken Anthony. You are correct. As a secunia user, I am satisfied with the % being rounded out.I have taken stats and the subject is very exact. But Some users are new to the board, and/or new to the computer.Like all of us, All are attempting to surf the net
feeling secure at the same time. The bottom line is a secure/or non-secure computer. Don't get caught in redundant points. A trivial post that takes from the time that could be used dealing with security issues.
