Whenever i try to uninstall the program i get this message in a small box. : Windows installer : No admission to the windows installer. It can happen if the windows installer is installed in a wrong way. I have tried to download the program : Windows Installer Clean Up. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/ It get the same box. So I cant`t uninstall Apple Quick time and i can`t get hold on and use the windows installer clean up program. Can you help me ? Kindly Bent

Hi.
I am not sure.
How can i check it.
I am running Vista with service pack 2.
I have looked at the link :

I am not sure of which file i should try to download and install.
But it is an " old file " so when i am running service pack 2 i suppose i should have the file.
Bur again .. how can i check it.
I have to say that it is the first time i encounter this problem.

If U have a 64 bit system U want the download above it.

Hi.
I have downloaded the file
Windows6.0-KB942288-v2-x86.msu as you suggested.
On trying to run the file I get this message :

The update is not relevant for your system.

I am running a 32 bit system.

I am a little in doubt with the search path.

Is this the search path :

windows + installer + vista + repair&catalog=lcid%3d2057&mode=r

If it is i get no rsults

Try downloading the Revo Uninstaller at "www.revouninstaller.com/. I find that this will locate and uninstall any loaded program. It allows you to remove all registry traces of the program after the main delete. It would be best to do a complete uninstall of QT and then a fresh install of the latest version.

Hi. EasyJack.
I have the program revo-unistaller.
I have tried uninstalling Quick time.
I get this message :

Config. data for this product is corrupt

I have experienced the same problems ( Windows installer )
when i tried to install Ad-Aware from Lavasoft.
Corrupt Windows installer.

I can see the windows installer file in it`s location :
windows\system32\msiexec.exe

I can also se the values when i run regedit :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\msiserver

Go to "ask.com" type in " Can't uninstall Quicktime" hit enter and pick;

Can't Uninstall Quicktime - Tech Support Guy Forums it has other suggestions.

One of them is;

1. Go to C:\Program Files, then delete the entire QuickTime folder.

2. Click Start - Find/Search - All Files And Folders, select the hard drive ( C: ) to look in, type in QuickTime, then click Find/Search. when the list of files appear, right-click on and delete all the ones that you confirm are associated with QuickTime.

3. Click Start - Run, type in REGEDIT, then click OK. Click the + in:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Software

In the Software sub-menu, right-click directly on the Apple Computer entry, then click Delete - Yes.

(Note: If you click the + in the "Apple Computer" entry, you'll see "QuickTime" listed there)

I do not hope that i have done something wrong.
Honestly.. I do not really understand what you mean.
My username has some likeness with my email adress and ??????

I think or hope that my problem has been solved thanks to you.
It was the program revouninstaller that did it.
I suceeded to uninstall quicktime completely from the system.
The other problems I have had with programs that i could not install or uninstall is solved by revouninstaller.
It is really a great program.
Earlier I have used CC Cleaner, but it does not clean the way revouninstaller does.

Glad to be of help. I agree that the "Revo Uninstaller" is about the best uninstaller that is out there and it is free.
