I was surprised to see that although I have version 1.5.0.0 installed, the Secunia website shows the current version is 1.5.0.1. Why doesn't PSI check itself (or what am I missing)? Rob -- Rob |

Hi Rob, If you noticed the new version #, you should've noticed in the Changelog that the latest version is a Language release-nothing to do with a update to the latest version you're using. http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal... Not to mention, the PSI isn't a general updater. It only informs you of security updates. There has never been a security hole in the PSI, so no need to flag the old versions. -- Assorted Fnords. |

Thanks to both responders: I'm clearer now on PSI's function. Since there's no check-for-updates link on the interface, I'll rely on email notification or manually check the website. -- Rob |

Hello Rob , If you click the "vulnerability scanning" link at the top of this page -> PSI -> "changelog" (at the top right side of the new page) you will find details of the recent versions , as wr suggests (above). Bottom right of any page of your PSI scanner shows the version number you have ; it is supposed to change & tell you when a new version should be downloaded . It has worked in the past as have email notices (keeps fingers crossed !:o)) Take care Anthony -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |
