I'm attempting to download Flash 10.0.x after being told by Secunia that my current version is out of date, but halfway through the download Adobe Manager gives an error message - but the 'blue bar' says 'getPlus+R: Error' and the message reads 'Installation is corrupt! (16248.202.235 - 42072312.80040154.FFFFFFFF.80040154). Being new to this game - and a technophobic moron to boot, can someone give me help (in non-technical jargon) as to how I can get Flash Player 10.0 installed successfully?
I have deleted all traces of earlier versions using Revo Installer - if that's any help.

Will attempt-Adobe is not beloved by anyone anymore. Go to add/remove and uninstall the version you have. Turn off your machine and after 30sec turn it back on again. Now make sure you go directly to Adobe for the download of update. Verify by looking at bottom of search selections and it states Adobe. Do your download of update and follow prompts. Hopefully, it will install. This can be verified by going to add/remove and matching the platform number to the install platform number. Depending on the browser you are using make sure your security features are not stopping you. |

My problems w/ flash 10 is that it fails to register. I've tried every fix known to man with no results. |

By failing to register, I assume you mean with Secunia so you get a 100% score. Verify with your add/remove what version you have. If for some reason it did not download and install correctly. Start process all over again and don't forget to watch your browser for any message about security activity.Reboot and then scan with Secunia. If this does not work you must switch to the advance mode of Secunia and follow these steps:
To locate the exact file that the Secunia PSI has detected, please follow there guidelines using the
advanced interface:
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
* Click on the entry of the program to “expand” it.
* Click on Technical details to see the installation path of the detected file.
* Remember the installation path and close down the menu.
* Click Open Folder and locate the detected file.
Secunia scans everything even your recycle bin if you have an old file in it waiting to be deleted and haven't done so do so before starting process. |
