I run a scan every week. It's only just picked up the issue that seems to have been raised months ago.
It seems that I have two versions installed, both 11.5.1.601. One is ActiveX and the other is NPAPI.
Before I do completely the wrong thing, can anyone suggest whether I need both versions, please? Or even how NPAPI go there?!

I've just run FireFox. It noted that a new add-on had been installed than ran OK. I'll just scan again, to be sure

Hello Taffy ,

NPAPI is the "new(ish)" designation given by PSI to both the Adobe Flash and Shockwave plug-ins for non IE browsers ;eg: Firefox or Chrome , etc.

Flash seems to use one installer/updater for ActiveX and another for "NPAPI" , while Shockwave uses just the one installer/updater .

I have two Shockwave folders , one marked "Shockwave" and the other "Director" - they each contain the two plug-ins , so I "guess" they are both needed ; they don't seem to give any trouble :o))

FWIW , this is what WIKI says about NPAPI::

Take care
Anthony

PS: I assume you now have 11.5.2.602 installed .

I've just checked and it says I now have 11.5.2.602.
Presumably this is the same. Typical of what happens when I'm let loose near a PC!
Thanks again Anthony
