I always run the test once every week.
Today Sat 21st Nov I can open it at all.

I have uninstalled via Add & Remove, restarted the computer went to Secuni Home and downloaded it again.
I saved it to the desk top not a problem.
Even thought I have uninstalled the program it still tells me to uninstall it before I can install it.

I feel like I am on a merry go round and getting no where.
Gsmart

Hi gsmart:

The first thing I'd try would be to clean your registry. If you don't already have one, use this link: http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/regist... to down load the Free Registry Cleaner. If you solve the problem, great, if not please post with more information.

To get help with this problem we need to know what version of Windows you use, what version of PSI did you remove (if known), are you attempting to download PSI version 1.5.0.0? Other information may be needed also.

Hi gsmart;

1. So on Saturday the 21st. you could not get PSI to load & run, did it do anything at all when you click on the Secunia icon?

2. You then removed PSI using the Add/Remove program, is that correct?

3. You then downloaded and attempted to reinstall PSI, but couldn't, is that correct?

If the answers to 2 & 3 above is correct, have you ran the registry cleaner program as suggested? If you do not feel comfortable using a registry cleaner I understand. However if there is a problem in the registry, you may have to take the computer to someone who can. I'm not 100% sure the problem is in the registry but it's the first thing I'd try.

After the registry is cleaned, try reinstalling PSI.

Try this:

Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
=======================

If a programme is installed using Windows Installer it can be removed by using the Microsoft Cleanup Utility.

Download it from here:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Once downloaded, open the programme & scroll up & down looking for the programme U wish to uninstall.

If found,highlight it & click the remove button (bottom right)

Reboot.

Reinstall using this link:
