I have uninstalled Firefox5.3.x from my computer and installed a later version of Firefox but Secunia insists that I have the earlier version and gives me dire warnings. HOW can I get Secunia to work as it should?
Thanks, Mary

Hi,
Which version of firefox did you install? There has been more than one Firefox update lately. Try clicking the "Solution" button in the PSI.

Have you rescanned you system? If not, please click the "scan" button.

What is the "file path" to the insecure version of firefox? You can determine what this is, by entering Advanced Mode by clicking "Advanced" in the top right corner, then navigating to the security issue in the "Insecure" tab, and clicking + to expand. The "Installation Path" field contains the file path, and I'd like you to post it here. Thank you.

Hope this helps.

Morning.
You should be very wary of including your e mail address in posts....an invitation to spammers.
Tho' not familiar with Firefox....tho' you've updated, Secunia may still be detecting older/earlier versions/files not removed....sometimes even those in the recycle bin.
I notice you've been using Secunia for almost a year...you must have read a lot/be using the advanced mode ?
If you click on the + sign alongside any entry it will expand to reveal more information. You'll be able to reproduce the insecure program's file path, if needs be.

Here's the file path: C:\Program Files\SafeCentral\Browser\firefox.exe .

I have removed the Firefox5.3.x and installed Firefox3.5.7. Those numbers suggest an earlier version. I'm totally confused!! Mary

Click Secunia Profile....top right-ish of the PSI panel...just delete your present user name ( the e mail address ),from the Update Secunia Profile, and insert that name which you wish to be known by. Then click on Save Profile, just below.

Mary - I agree with MOGS*** that you should delete your email address urgently.
By the way, my Firefox has been been updated to v3.5.7.

*** Hi MOGS, I'm from Cardiff too, now living in Yorkshire. That's where the similarity between us ends - you clearly know know what you're doing when it comes to PCs!

There is no Firefox 5.3X. I think you mean Firefox 3.5.X
