PSI not detecting Adobe Acrobat 7.14 as being fully updated. It says Version detected as 7.14.748 but still suggests it is an End Of Life program and recommends that it be updated to Version 7.14

Hi thefly;

I'm not sure why PSI is telling you to update to ver. 7.14 . However, if you look at Adobes supported programs list, http://www.adobe.com/support/programs/policies/sup... , it doesn't look good. The current version of Acrobat is 9.x . Secunia is listing your version as EOL (End of Life), that means Adobe will no longer issue updates. If the program becomes vulnerable you take your chances. To be safe you'll need to upgrade (buy) the newer version. If you wish to take the risk, create an ignore rule in PSI for Acrobat. Remember, after you set an ignore rule, that doesn't make it safe!

regards;

Thanks for that. I sort of understood after posting and checking the latest update for Adobe Acrobat and noticed that there was no update in January this year for the Version 7.x but for later versions only. Thanks for the link to the support cycle for different Adobe products.
