I am running W7 64bit if that helps I have just had problems I have Installed Adobe Flash then Reinstalled it again. I have also installed and reinstalled Java " jre-6u18-windows-i586-s" Now my graph is not showing up at all. I have included this note in a previous posting Now I am advised to update/download Openoffice.org 3.x When I go to that download there is no such actual download. It is possibly hidden in another name. Please help what do I do now. Keith |

Hello, again gsmart. Had to be brief last time - little one had just woken up. The link above refers to Open Office issue (gives up to date version nos.) - you`re the second one reporting they cant get to the update site. I had no probs on Mon. If you didn`t know, the vendor is Sun Microsystems - their Home should get you to the right site. OR: In control panel, click on Add/Remove programs, scroll down to Open office, and click on it, then you`ll see "click here for support info", and you`ll get the links. Now, Adobe. If when you say graphs aren`t showing, you mean on PSI, you need to have Flash (ActiveX) installed on IE for the graphics to work. It`s easiest if I cut and paste a solution I`ve given to a similar thread: Quote: The latest versions are: Adobe Flash Player 10.x ..... 10.0.45.2 (ActiveX), for IE, and 10.0.45.2 (NPAPI) for other browsers (eg Firefox). It may be, that even if you have the latests version, there are still parts of the old version(s) remaining. You must uninstall Flash every time before you update, using an Adobe uninstall download. It is probably best to start again. Download and run Adobe uninstall Flash from here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html Re-boot and re-scan PSI to ensure nothing of flash remains. Download and install latest version: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ You may have to install the latest version 2x. Once using IE, and once using another browser (if you use multiple browsers). Re-boot and re-scan PSI one more time, and hopefully this will do it. Unquote. Maybe not all the info is relevent to you, but I hope it helps. I assume there are no problems with Java, and you just included it for information purposes. (Its normally straight forward enough to update) I still have XP Pro (SP3), so if your problems are specifically related to W7 (64), my advised solutions may not work. If it helps ,this is the download link i received by email fromm OOo :- http://download.openoffice.org/ This will download the latest 3.2 version and replace your older version , it will also update Java to U18 32bit (if necessary :)). Try to run the 3.2.0. download using the link , it's the first greenish block toppish left . -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |
