Hello Barbareska :)

Open your Adobe Reader , click the "help" tab (top leftish) select "check for updates adobe reader" (from the dropdown menu) and follow the instructions to get the up to date version 9.3.1.

If you don't understand ask again :)

Anthony

Hello Barbie & Anthony
This morning i opened adobe reader help & check for update but, there where no updates avail from inside adobe. I opened PSI and go directly to download solution and it was very kuick and all is set very well.
Maybe Barbarechka could take this approche if the adobe update won't do.
Hope that help.

Thanks John , I always suggest the internal Adobe route first , as this has given less problems in the past ; also as Barbareska needs to translate back to German I gave the easiest directions :)

Fingers crossed .

hi anthony
thank you very much, it worked well and secunia scan was 100% plus!
*I have to write now about another problem that annoys me:
when I get an email (outlook express) and there is an internetadress included which I want to open - an insert appears in the middle of the mail, "saying" there are restrictions on this pc, the internetsite cannot be shown, ask your systemadministrator - and then my knowledge is at an end - where do I find an s.a.?
perhaps you can help me,
regards barbareska

Hi Barbareska ,

I seem to remember you have Windows 7, I know nothing about it I'm afraid and I don't use "Outlook" either :((

It sounds like an administrator rights problem with the UAC to stop you opening "unknown" and therefore potentially risky email links , but I am only guessing .

Technically , if it's your computer , you are the Administrator !!

You could always drag and drop or copy the url to your browser ; remember , links are always risky !!
Unless John can help , you will probably need to find a Windows 7 help/user Forum or an "outlook" Forum .

Take care
Anthony

hi anthony,
you are absolutely right - itŽs my pc and I am the administrator, but I must have done anything to create a "crux" in the system, that I cannot open internetadr. in emails - donŽt bother - perhaps my brother can help me, otherwise I have to copy the link furtherone and give the address into the internet explorer; you have mentioned UAC - what does this mean ? - have a nice evening - regards barbareska

Hi Barbareska .

UAC means user account control , it came in with Vista and was very annoying (I'm told - I use XP) ; it is meant to be better in 7 .

If you Google UAC you will get lots of links - it is a technical thing , so use German sites and the brother , of course :))

Hi Barbareska
As did Anthony mention this is an annoying thing in win7 for a UAC.
I use Outlook by first right cliking on the program shortcut and click " run as administrator". You can try this perhaps it will save your day.
Crossing fingers, like Anthony did.
Good luck.
