Hi all, I was using Mozilla 3.6.2, and I had 3 instances of this program showing as insecure, with the solution being to upgrade to 3.6.3 which I did this morning. The instance in program files (x86) was corrected once I upgraded, and it went away. However there are two other instances of this program being out of date, they are located in: C:\Users\All Users\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\ProgramData\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe I tried to run a custom install and directed the install to these directories, however I get a message saying: "You don't have access to write to the installation directory. Click OK to select a different directory." I realize now that I should reboot my computer before raising alarm, but since I have already written this much I will go ahead and post and give an update. Thank you all for your help. It is appreciated. **EDIT: Reboot did not solve this vulnerability. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you! Sincerely, Sam |

Hello Sam , I use XP , but I am told that the C:\ProgramData\.. folder is a hidden system folder for Vista and later OS and definitely not to be tampered with unless you know what you are doing !! You are posting as a CSI user , so I would suggest you take it up directly with Secunia at support@secunia.com when they are back to work on Tuesday 6th April . Take care Anthony -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |
