States that Sun Java JRE 1.6.x/6.x is a threat. I do not have Java on my computer any more, and don't know how to keep this from coming up as a threat. There is no place to delete it . Repeated scans does not rid this threat. any suggestions

The PSI will always show which file it's detecting. You can find your insecure installation of JRE by expanding the entry (clicking "+") and reading the field called "Installation Path". This "path" is the location of the insecure file.

hope this helps.

Psi is reporting Java as insecure because i's finding some part of it on you system, although you have removed it. Remove JRE from add/remove in control panel and Java console (extn. for Ff.) from Firefox>tools>add-ons> extension icon.

In advanced mode (top right of Psi page), go to insecure tab, click on [+] on l.h.s. to expand.

Tech details gives location; Open folder goes to that location.

The latest Java JRE is - any lower versions show as insecure.

Are you sure you don't want/need Java? - click download solution to update, if you decide to re-instate.

Computing is not yet a perfect science - it still requires humans.
