Could the fact that I have Foxit installed prevent this? I'd like to keep both.
Once I got the message Unable to install on your computer, and the next time it started to install then I got the message about problems with the network, try again later. Have you heard anything about a conflict?

Hi Scoon1. What program are you trying to instal but can't? Just post back with details and I'm sure one of the helpful technical guys here will resolve the problem.

Hello.
I havn't read anything about anybody trying to keep Adobe and Foxit readers going at the same time....so maybe you're the first to experience some unknown conflicts !!!
Someone might say it's a waste of resources trying to keep the peace !!!

Hi Scoon1. Adobe are a pain in the wotsits. They update programs because of security issues but don't automatically remove the old, insecure program. I got so fed up that when someone here recommended Foxit Reader, I installed that and removed Adobe Reader.
There are lots of people posting here with problems with Adobe Reader. For example, take a peep at this:
http://secunia.com/community/forum/?forum=2&vendor...

So my advice is don't instal Adobe Reader - but I'm not a teccie. I'm sure one of them will confirm my feelings about Adobe Reader and also explain why you're having that problem. Well worth the wait if no-one gets back tonight (UK time!).
PS Hiya Mogs!!
