This may help those who have applied all fixes and still cannot get Secunia to clear. I was getting and still do on occasion that "vista is insecure" The fix maybe to run a registry cleaner and then re-scan with Secunia. It works. Two free cleaners are CCleaner and Auslogics registry cleaners. Secunia official Answer to question Some Windows Updates require you to reboot and rescan. Check Microsoft/Windows update, reboot, and recheck MS/Win update. Once you've done that, rescan. Does this solve the problem? That suggestion failed. Anyone else? I have again checked updates, etc. Nothing new. An, I am not particularly fond of the notion of unloading MS. |

Oh and i have read the threads and this comment is USELESS as it is up to date, reboot, etc. "The threat was real that Secunia informed you of. This was corrected by the MS update(1st-01/22/10 and 2nd one-26/01/10. Keep your updates set on automatic and MS will download every Tue. As for still showing it as vulnerable, a system reboot should correct this. If you are new to the forum, when you have a free moment or two :),read some of the previous ??s. Most problems are repetitious and have been addressed. It is an excellent way to learn the program and increase your know how. Any member will gladly assist if you have a problem and the two? secunia reps.are there when needed. " So can we try to move on. Thanks again. |

@BwB , Some people have had scan result problems since the end of last week ; you can "double check" your security updates showing on M$ updates/Secunia with Belarc , should you so wish :- http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html Since the weekend , problems with scan results have sometimes been overcome by an uninstall/reinstall of PSI . Does this help ?? Anthony -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |
