Hi,

Have you tried using Add/Remove from the control panel? Does it show Adobe Reader here? And if so, does it display an error message when you try to remove it?

Hi,

There is little we can do, really. I suggest you try contacting Adobe Support, and see which advice they can give.

One thing though. The PSI always shows which file it detects. If you enter Advanced Mode (By clicking "Advanced" in the top right corner), then "+" to expand the file entry, you can see where the file is located from the "Installation Path" field.

hope this helps.

Try creating a new administator account to do the update of Adobe. This will show if your existing account has become corrupted.

@ Amanda

If the proposed solutions wont work, try the following :

1-Download & save the Adobe Reader on the desktop
2-Run the program.( As Admin. )
3-Rescan with PSI after reboot.
4-See the results.

If you find a vulnerability try to correct-it and put the results here.

Hope that help.

Try this first:http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_fr...

If it fails then

Have you done a regedit before? Maybe you can force the situation by forcing the removal via regedit and deleting program files folder.. Don't forget that when you go to use the regedit that you right click and run as administrator when opening .

How to work with regedit/per Maurice Joyce

Because it is on your system. try this:

Click on start>run> type in the box REGEDIT

Highlight My Computer then select Edit>find - type ADOBE READER in the box - click find next - it will search for ADOBE READER elements. Keep pressing find next after each event until it gives the all clear.

Read each entry found carefully. If U are sure U no longer want it right click & delete it.

ALTHOUGH A FAIRLY SIMPLE ACTION IF U ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE REGISTRY U ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO BACK IT UP BEFORE TINKERING OR POST BACK WHAT U FIND FOR MORE ADVICE BEFORE DELETION.

have you worked with command prompt?
