I've read the thread about this (started on 8th March), but the problem persists. I get Windows updates with no problem, but Secunia keeps telling me SP2 is insecure. This has gone on for some months.
(Also Adobe Flash player 10x, which I keep updating but it's always listed as insecure.)

I scan my PC every day.

Any suggestions?
When I click on Secunia's link to Download Solution I get error 0x80070002.
Thanks.

Hi
Microsoft has an article about the error code you got, you might want to check it out:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910336

Try to download the Flash Player installer, exit your browsers, and other programs that uses Flash. (This includes the PSI, right-click the PSI icon in the taskbar and pick "Exit")

Run the Flash installer.

Rescan with the PSI.

You may need to run the Adobe uninstaller to be sure that all previous versions of the Flash Player are removed.

Download the uninstaller from this site:

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Close all browsers.
Shut down Secunia by right clicking the Secunia tray icon and clicking Exit.
Run the uninstaller.
Select the 'Show Details' button in the uninstaller. If there are any entries showing 'Delete on Reboot', you need to restart your computer.
Install Flash Player for the browsers you use.

Thanks, both. The solution suggested by Microsoft must be for XP. The command "ren SoftwareDistribution SDTemp"
isn't recognised.

The mystery is that I get Windows Updates fine, but the PSI insists that Vista SP2 is insecure.
