On 30th April I updated my (default) browser from Opera 10.51 to Opera 10.53. The PSI however still detects Opera as version 10.51.3315.0. (and tells me it is patched).
From the advanced view PSI shows the installation path of Opera to be:
C:\Program Files\Opera\opera.exe From this folder opera.exe shows version: 10.53.3374.0.
I did a search for opera (on my PC), no other version came up.
Add & remove programs also tells me Opera 10.53.
A reboot and rescan did not make any change.
Anyone an idea why this new version of Opera still gets its wrong version number?

Hello @websafe ,

It is getting late for me (same time as you) , but some 2 weeks ago there was a lot of work done on Secunia servers and results like your's have been corrected by uninstalling and then re-installing PSI . This allows the scan(ner) to be reset , as it were.

It would be worth trying this in the first instance to save time before having to search for a solution elsewhere .

Let us know how you get on (and which version of PSI you currently use) .

Anthony

Hello Anthony,
Thanks for your reaction.
First I did a deinstall of the PSI 1.5.0.0, a reboot and a new install of PSI 1.5.0.0.
Opera 10.53 was still recognised as 10.51.
Decided to download the latest PSI (version 1.5.0.1), deinstall the older PSI and than a new install of PSI 1.5.0.1.
This has been a success; Opera 10.53 is now recognised as 10.53.
Thanks again for advising me to reinstall the PSI.

Hello @websafe ,

Thanks very much for that feedback ; Secunia will be interested as technically there should be no difference in using 1.5.0.0. as the reinstall version rather than 1.5.0.1.

If you still have the 1.5.0.0. installer on your computer could you retain it for now , please .

Glad you are sorted .
