For me, a 'basic' PC user, Norton's Safe Web is another very important security tool - up there with firewall & anti-virus - in my humble opinion. I have it on my desktop - if you don't know it, it tells you whether the websites in the results of a search are Safe to visit, unknown or a security risk.

Having just about set up a new laptop, I was concerned that the Safe Web icons (showing if safe/unknown/security risk) didn't appear. During quite a long on-line 'discussion' with Norton via their 'quick chat' today, they uninstalled and reinstalled my NIS 2010. But Safe Web icons still don't appear.

Well, they don't if I use the AOL Search ("powered by Google") but they do if I seach using the Norton toolbar.

Is this an issue with Norton & Windows 7/AOL?

(PS I've posted in Open, because I think that Safe Web is a feature of many new Norton products.)

I've reposted this so I'm locking this one.

UPDATE: Just realised I can't lock it without a reply. I've emailed Secunia.
