Hello.
Is psi detecting an older back-up copy ? What is the path to the insecurity ?
Are you using the Advanced interface yet ? Remember that Secunia will detect items even if still in the Recycle Bin.
Did you reboot after updating ?
Generally if you provide as much detail/info as possible, the better. Regards,

No older copy anywhere that I know of. not in recycle bin

Path is N/A

Using advanced

yes reboot

Went to windows update and it showed no critical updates. Installed all not critical updates as well.

In addition to the windows alert, there are two alerts for Outlook express, both for the same version. I don't use outlook express and looked at deleting it but don't like messing with the registry. In any case when I hit the Download Solution there it takes me back to the windows update site which has no updates available.

I have a screen shot but am unable to post it.

I think U are suffering from the aftermath of a Secunia server "wobbly".

Uninstall PSI.
Reboot.
Reinstall from here: http://secunia.com/

Run a full PSI scan.

Hopefully the problem is history.

If this post has solved your problem could you please select the ACCEPT option. This will lock the thread and stop you & I from receiving unnecessary update emails.

Hi all

@1yioi87-a few weeks back Secunia did some upgrading/adjustments to their servers & some unexpected 'surprises' showed up. Your complaint is
one of many like this.

In most cases the problem has been solved by uninstalling/reinstalling the PSI.
Then reboot & run a full scan. Either of the 2 versions may be reinstalled-1.5.0.0
or 1.5.0.1. The latest v. (1.5.0.1) is merely a language update so the earlier v. is just as secure. http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal...

Hope this helps.

Regards, wr

If this solves your problem please lock this thread by choosing ACCEPT so
you & I will not receive useless update emails.

EDIT: Whoops-sorry Maurice-at least we're thinking alike. Hope you
have a enjoyable weekend. Do carry on.
