Hi Fred123, and welcome to Secunia.

What you need to do next is:

1. Make sure that you are using the Advanced interface mode. The name should be shown in Black; if it appears in blue/underlined, just click on it.

2. There will be a + sign next to the 'offending' program. Click on that to expand it. This will show the Installation Path.

3. Either follow the instructions there in Toolbox/Download Solution or copy & paste the Installation Path of the file and post it back here if you still need some help.

Hoping this helps you.

If this post has solved your problem could you please select the ACCEPT option. This will lock the thread and stop you & I from receiving unnecessary update emails.

Last edited on 26th May, 2010 08:58 Hi,

First, please just try rescanning now. If this has not corrected the problem, please provide the information I ask for below.

To correct this, I need some information from your registry. To access this, you need to follow these instructions.
1) Press start > run, and enter "regedit"
(You are now working in the registry. Please be careful not to delete or edit anything here, as that could potentially break your system)

2) Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

3) Please copy the contents of the keys "ProductName", "CSDVersion", "CurrentBuildNumber", "BuildLab", "CurrentType" and "CurrentVersion" here. With this info, I can correct our rules.

Hi,

I can see from your info that if you had rescanned before posting you would no longer be shown as pro. Please try rescanning, and let me know if the proper OS is now shown.

This morning when I repeated the scan I have the same warning but today it says "Windows XP Home"!
I have tried to install the update but it fails, so I have now contacted Microsoft.
Thanks for all the help
