PSI is reporting that PCRE 6.X for Electronic Arts game, BattleForge, is an end-of-life threat. The installation path is: E:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\BattleForge\pcre3.dll Is this truly a threat, or does Secunia need to update their data? Thanks! |

@Mysterio , There are two recent threads referring to PCRE and it seems likely from what I understand of them you will need to get specific information from both the supplier and Secunia concerning your pcre3.dll and the need (or not) to update it :- http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/421... http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/426... Secunia do not work on PSI at the weekend so you will only get them at support@secunia.com on Monday - they may also pick up and reply here directly . Hope this helps Anthony EDIT : "EOL" means the product is no longer "supported" by the manufacturer so IF it becomes "insecure" you will not be advised nor a "patch" offered . -- It always seems impossible until its done. I'll contact EA, as well, to get this resolved. |
