I am getting 3 Microsoft warnings, IE8 update, XP Security update, and .Net framework update warnings when I scan my computer. These have all been updated successfully from Microsoft and I have checked them twice but still get the warnings from Secunia. Any ideas why? |

@hawghead , After an M$ update you need to reboot and run a full PSI scan ; then recheck with M$ updates and repeat as necessary . When there are no updates showing an additional reboot/full scan is required . A scond one may be needed for the updates to register correctly . Sometimes a cold restart helps . In addition to that , some people (I am one:( , are having problems with the actual .Net update . Come back here again if your problem persists . Anrhony -- It always seems impossible until its done. Anrhony Just in case you are still having [unspecified] .Net problems, this *may* help: http://preview.tinyurl.com/39395hm specifically the last post which offers the following: "uninstall all 3 (in my case) KB updates under the NET 2.0 group in Add/Remove programs. After doing so and rebooting, I went to Windows Update and was offered the Family Pack service pack update. Installed that and was up to date!" It worked for me as well. -- OS: Windows XP Pro SP3 |

@ottchris-primary , Thank you for your interest . I did resolve my problems based on verssion 2.0 ; in my case , I needed rather more uninstalling as I described here in my last post :- http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/444... Take care Anthony -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |
