Today I saw Opera has upgraded their browser from version 10.54 to 10.60 which solves the vulnerabilities mentioned in: http://secunia.com/advisories/40375/

After a scan PSI alerted to upgrade Opera, also the “auto-update” tab read “insecure” under state.
There were 2 failed attempts to auto-update Opera. The second time I saw “SHA-1 sum incorrect” for a short time under state.
The sualog.txt last date was: July 26. Not sure this is right I deinstalled PSI, rebooted and reinstalled PSI 1.9.0.0.
Still the updated failed with error: SHA-1 sum incorrect
Downloaded and installed Opera 10.60 successful from opera.com.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi.

There have been previous problems like yours posted that were due to not having the latest version of Secunia PSI, v1.9.0.0

Have you got this? If not, let us know if you need help instaalling it.

Hoping this helps.

Hi

All downloads that is capable of Auto-Update is tested and checked with a SHA-1 check-sum so we sure that you don't get a wrong file.

It seems that Opera for some reason changed the installer since we updated our rules yesterday. I've now updated our rules again with the correct check-sum

If you should encounter more of these incorrect check-sums, please let us know by either writing here at the forum (as you did) or by contacting support@secunia.com.

Thank you for reporting this.

Hello Taffy078 & M. Hansen, thanks for your reaction.

@ Taffy078: I didn't know there is a new version of the PSI TP. I will update to that version later.

@ M. Hansen: I have deinstalled Opera 10.60, rebooted my PC and (re-)installed Opera 10.54.
Now the auto-update to Opera 10.60 went fine.
Thanks.
