Scanned my system. PSI detected old FireFox 3.6.3 and offered a Download of solution. This Direct Download Link is outdated. It gave me FireFox 3.6.4 instead of latest 3.6.6. which was released June 26th, 2010, one week ago! Re-scanned FireFox and got that still threat would exist with no fix. Mind you, I have not checked, whether latest FF addresses said vulnerabilities. |

The last "security" update for Ff is to version 3.6.4. ; version 3.6.6. is a "bug" fix only - you can check this by clicking the "help" menu in Ff and selecting "relaese notes" . As the Secunia PSI checks for "vulnerabilities" and not bug fixes or eye candy changes , then version 3.6.4. is the latest/last secure update version ; version 3.6.6. is also "secure" . Both versions show as "insecure , no solution" subject to SA 40283 in the "secure browsing" tab of the PSI . Hope that is clear , if not ask again . Downloaded latest version of PSI. Have Firefox 3.6.6 and PSI wants me to load the previous version of 3.6.4. Is 3.6.6 not a secure browser? Went to Firefox's official site and the latest version is 3.6.6. | ||||||||
