Help!!!

My Secunia e-mail notifications have gone missing. Kind of makes it hard to keep track of any threads I was working on.

> Yes, I'm subscribing to the threads.
> No, the e-mail address in my Secunia profile wasn't changed.
> No, the 'rules' in my Netscape Mail reader haven't changed.
> Yes, I get e-mail from others, just not Secunia.

If any can see what I've overlooked, I'd appreciate the help.

If no ideas, I'll transfer the address to which Secunia sends the notifications to my G-Mail address and have those forwarded to Netscape. That would be a temporary fix, if it works.

Thanks;

Fred

as you know, I'm not a teccie, Fred! But - I had a similar problem just around the time of the major changes to Secunia PSI (before the Auto-update facility was introduced).

It's frustrating isn't it!!!

The first thing I tried was the old "Technical Help-Desk" advice of 'switch it off then switch it on' - or rather the equivalent, uninstalling Secunia and re-installing it.

It worked for me Fred but . . . . . . .

Good luck.

EDIT: A mail-filter hasn't kicked in has it, Fred? (I'm not sure if Netscape works the same as BT Yahoo mail). Might you have flagged a Secunia email as spam by mistake?

Hi taf;

The problem seems to have solved itself.

Thanks for the suggestion and consolation. I had not got to the point of the uninstall/reinstall PSI. As I said, I did look, no 'rules' or 'filters' had been added in the Netscape Reader. (As a mater of fact, I've set no rules. I possibly should, as it would make my life easier. I just do not get that much e-mail. The bulk of it is from Secunia.)

I just came back, turned on everything (I shut down when not in use) and now have almost 20 e-mail notifications from Secunia (and one bill, yuck!). This is not the first restart since I've notice the problem.

I have no idea why Secunia stoped e-mail to me or why they started again. (First one dated today at 11:47am my time. I know one thread for sure that skipped a notification.) I'm sure it was not intentional on their part.

Makes you wonder who's running all this, us or the computers!
