There are informative links throughout the forum & it is highly recommended that new members read these to get a better understanding. Here are a few of those links:

(1) How Secunia works: http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal...

(2) Compare Secunia products: http://secunia.com/products/consumer/compare/

(3) Getting started: Many members use Secunia PSI v1.9x which has an Auto-update facility for some programs with a past history of vulnerabilities. If you go to this link

http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/444...

you will see what this (TP) version does. It will also show you where/how to download the latest version of PSI v1.9x
When you’ve installed it, you’ll see a new tab “Auto-Updates” on the main Secunia page, between "Overview" and "Insecure". This has a list of programs that will be auto up-dated when you "tick the box".

Then ‘scan’!

If you want more information, or you’re having problems, post a new thread – there’s always someone here to help you.

I really need to relax and chat today ! Tho' I started my hols this morning !!
I seem to keep thinking it's Saturday or Sunday but not the last or first day of the month ! I don't think it's indicative of anything serious.....Accept buttons may mysteriously pop up at the right time....and not a few days before ?!!!!
I can't smell a rat....no collusion in editorial format ?! I'm not too easily placated/bribed/led, or literally bolted cabbage or lettuce ?
My judgement is sound enough ?!
The "carved work" isn't being edited by axes and hammers ?!
I don't need voluntary monetary subscriptions !!
I might score a few points elsewhere ?!
Justice needn't cost a lot....the poorer aren't running a Bentley ?!
Words tried more than seven times aren't a constituent of Dreadrock ?!

London, England (CNN) -- From the two-story care home where she lived in the northern English city of Bradford, 104-year-old Ivy Bean would tell her nearly 57,000 Twitter followers around the world what she did each day -- from eating fish and chips to sitting in the garden.
Bean's warm and friendly nature came across in every message, and she regularly corresponded with her followers. Even when she had a bad day, she never dwelled on it for long.

For the full story, read more at :-

The quality of life and freedom .....I've seen it diminish and deteriorate in my lifetime.....I don't do yoghurt and strawberries on a silver spoon ?!
I'm not an overly wary, extremist, survivalist (?!).....self-discipline is a better watchword (hyphenated); than duty to city ? " Mogs

Hi mogs;

Have a good evening & a restful night so to enjoy your holiday.

Most times, I try to get too many things done to relax. Kind of ruins the whole point of it.

Also, you and the twitter lady would make odd bookends. You're not that rough around the edges, but there is a spot or two!

OK - smarty pants (UK expression), Mogs.

I have to confess - my real name is Ivy Bean and I am 104-years-old - TODAY!

My twin brothers (Emil & Morten) are "much younger" than I feel. That's because I watched & played football (US = soccer) when I was younger whilst they went to the bars. (Drinks, not jail/prison.)

Please send me birthday cakes but NO CANDLES! This forum is protected by not only firewalls etc but also by sprinklers (=water from the ceiling.).

Please send your candles (unlit) to Mogs or Fred.

Or to Anthony - who is celebrating a promotion!

Morning !
Remember when your father said some things once ?
Sometimes your mother didn't agree ?
You knew you weren't stood on deck in the Mekong ?!
Trafalgar was much earlier ?
"Thunder and lightning, very very frightening "....the lyrics were much later?
And sometimes you got away Scot free ?

Adams and Eves are always making fresh starts.
Said one to the other, " don't nibble on that !" ( quietly/discretely/sincerely/sneakily or slyly etc..) ?
I'm not always dishing up strawberry trifles ?!
Maybe they've since ironed lots of things out ?
The gun isn't always symbolic of justice ?
Don't go near that tree ! Once you get struck you don't shout ?!

Just a reminder that new members can find lots of info in the forum that will help understand how Secunia works and how to get started, per my post dated 28th Jul, 2010 10:07

££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££

Mogs - your comment reminds me of a story, probably not true, of an unmanned rail crossing, where a roads crosses a railway line.

It was said that there were too many near-misses because the sign for drivers said "Wait while red lights are flashing".

'While' has two opposite meanings depending which part of the UK you live in. It can either mean 'during' (i.e. stop when the red lights are flashing) or, usually in the North, 'until' (i.e. do not go until the red lights are flashing)!

In Holland this warning is a little bit longer: there may be coming another train.
That is because here the stop bars start rising up as soon the train has passed
the crossing. But, when a train from the opposite direction approaches it might
starting the bars coming down again. Only when the light are out it's safe
to get over the crsossing.

I got a nice California red with my little chicken dinner this Sunday...Crow's Landing...Shiraz 2009. There's even a quill with a drop of ink on the label. Really chuffed......£1 off at the local Co-op ! I can be a rich man for an hour ! The description on the label doesn't seem to conflict with "the message in the bottle ".....the same thing may not be truly said of a book and it's cover ?! Not to keep the 'train' thing going, but over here there is an alarming trend. When you see the flashing reds and the crossing arm (or bar) coming down, that means floor it. Same thing with the traffic signals, yellow light = go faster.

Mogs, are you certain that's a California red your drinking? Last I checked, the stuff aged in oak casks was this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Daniel's

That's what it says on the bottle Fred......grapes from the west side of the Sierra Foothills.......by the way, I noted old "Jack" was from good old "multi- national" British Biblical stock....really an assumption, as his grandad was a Job . I wouldn't mind betting a copy wasn't far from hand in Tennessee eh ? It sometimes helps with sums as well ?! Patience may have been more or less of a virtue when it was written ?!
I sometimes like a drop or a tot ( as we refer to it.....you might say slug or a shot ?) of the hard stuff in the winter....more oft then tho' it would be a rum. I first tried it when still in the army tho' serving on a warship...then there was still the morning ration of grog ( rum spoiled with water !). It can do wonders for the the blood in small measures in freezing temperatures. The key to sobriety is moderation in my book ?!!

How prolifically informative Nature is ?!
A spot can make all the difference.
Even Silver and Black Dog were comparitively harmless ?
A "comma" on a butterfly's wing....how it got it's type-name.
Buffetted and blown about...."punctuated" differently in spite of ?
And not a flippin' scratch whilst feeding on a bramble !!

I wonder if it's true...did I hear it on some grapevine ?!
Apparently if you can run the BBC iPlayer there's not much wrong with your machine ?
Three ten minute "natural world interludes " last night without even a flicker !!!

Surely we've got a few minutes to pass the time of day...a few tit bits....common courtesy..........I bet a few of you have talked more to a stranger in a bus shelter....but not me !!!!
Backwards, forwards, progress and regression.....I'll have a better idea who you are; if you're dressed up on page three ?!! Ha!

Hi Mogs.

I've just a few minutes laughing at the names used by "authors" of emails in my Junk Mailbox. If I were stupid enough to want to open emails from people whose name I don't recognise (which I'm not!), I still wouldn't open these:

Agnetha Brunhilda, Charissa Chamois, Memta Carmelita, Ellwood Barton, Galya Tatyana etc.

They're certainly not everyday English/Welsh names are they, Mogs.

I might be tempted *** by emails from

Alma Higginbottom, Muriel Peabody, Gladys Entwistle, Felicity Forsythe or Edwina Arbuthnot.

*** joking of course.

I imagine members all over the world get such silly junk emails. Are the authors' names in my first list on yours too? Or are yours tailored to reflect where you are eg France, Holland, Denmark, North America etc?

DISCLAIMER: The above names are used solely for the purpose of this post. Any similarity with names of real people who view this is entirely co-incidental. With apologies to any living viewer sharing these names, especially in the second list.
Legal complaints will of course be rejected, but may be addressed to Mogs, in the first instance.

Anyrate....I'm not a tall man nor sot as you well know.....Chateau Neuf at Easter....maybe...every other Sunday it's not green grapes....in a whole week, I like the bottled beers, one or two.
Well, this morning climbed the hill ( I'm not wanting my muscles to waste )....the van's somewhere else in the British Isles.....it never gets much rest.
Bought the milk; the papers and tips. The carrier bags dangled low...almost home....depression and gloom (!)....one of my Fursty Ferrets smashed on a step !!!
I'm not a teetotal extremist....I'm flippin' miserable....the bottom line !!!!

PS.....Fursty Ferret is a special bottled beer Fred !

sorry to hear of your dramatic loss, Mogs!!!

From "grapes from the west side of the Sierra Foothills" to a "tawny amber ale with a sweet nutty palate and a hoppy aroma with hints of Seville oranges". You do get around, dontcha!

PS Are you going back for another one? They're brewed in Dorset, aren't they?

That's incredible taffy....you've either got a bottle tucked away somewhere or ferretted around on the internet ?!
No....can't have another one....that was my pocket money for the week down the drain !!!
Yep; Hall & Woodhouse, Dorset....the brewers; but apparently Miss Rose Gribble's idyllic country home was where it was first savoured. The locals were apparently very inquisitive creatures !

Just to let you know that this thread will not be maintained beyond the end of this month.

Whilst the number of views has been fantastic, most of the posts have come from just a handful of members.

Thanks for your past support, from the "IE8 German Government" through "Open Doors" to this. Much appreciated.

"What's written out ?! Sigh....."

Death of the post not the poet ?!
Absence doesn't always create
a fondness
for scriptural text.
Another one bites the dust every day:
A door Open once closed:
I didn't relax 'n sojourn 'nuff I suppose;
My life won't be cut short with this thread ?!

From dramatic statement;
To lullaby, hush, temperance and noise abatement?
Caesar thought he knew Brutus ?!
A handful of friends....
no time for protests......
" And you Diculus ?!"

Is there a hint of sadness behind this miniature tragi-comedy ?

Fictional poetic disclaimer.

Said one controversial Hussein;
" I wish to make a posthumous complaint !"
"I know I wasn't a saint !"
" The odds were stacked against "
There was more than one thief in Bagdhad....the infidels never borrowed !!

How does it feel....is love very real....will kids still be watching pantos ?
Who put out who's lamp ?!
Sadness has increased......the nature of the beast...it doesn't always rise in the East.
"Is it a happier place from which I may haunt you ?" !!!!!!!!!
Some poets may have agreed for thousands of years.........................................
Who's hand will be cut off tomorrow ?!
Good judgement ? Plead your own case...there is no safety in sorrow.
