Secunia PSI reports a thread ! i.o.w. the new Mozilla Firefox ver. 3.6.8 is seen bij PSI as Mozilla Firefox 3.6.7 ! WHY?
I've been using 3.6.8 for almost a week and still PSI is NOT UP TO DATE.

Hello.
It's more than likely the case that psi is detecting the old version/file....even if in the Recycle bin.
Are there discrepancies apparent between what is showing in the Secure Browsing tab and what's in the Insecure and Patched tabs ?
Not all progs auto remove at time of update.
I'm not familiar with FF but hope this helps....regards,

Thank you for your reply!

I've checked your suggestion but there are no diferences in pathched or insecure tabs.
PSI just refuses to see the FF update 3.6.8 that was installed more than a week ago, and keeps reporting that 3.6.6 is installed with threads.

I'm going to ignore the PSI warnings. Have encountered that there are more discrepancies with installed programs or updates.
No program is perfect is my experience. I use "updateSTAR"as we wich works ok to a cetain point, there also it does not always give a correct version, however after a restart it does see the update.
Only thing that does not work failsafe with UpdateStar is their update links to the proposed update sites. more than once (3-5x already) i've not been able to find the socalled "linked"update.

However, we keep trying.
Regards.

SOFTCONTROL,
Could you take a look at the installation path of the Firefox on your system and paste it in the thread?
When using the advanced interface of the PSI you can click the button "Technical details" to see the installation path.
