Since this is ActiveX specific, when your default browser is Firefox the "Download Solution" button doesn't work - it launches a Firefox tab and downloads readme.txt but doesn't update the ActiveX control for IE.

Hi Bill;

You have posted in the PSI 2.0 TP forum. If you have the TP (Auto Updates) version installed, are you having problems with PSI's Auto Updates? If yes, do you need help setting the Auto Updates?

If no, are you having problems with the latest Adobe Flash update? If yes, see below.*

Let me repeat what you've posted to see if I understand you correctly.

> You're using Akamai Download Manager and it uses an ActiveX add on.
> You're using Firefox and it uses a NPAPI plugin.
> When you click 'Download Solution' it opens Firefox which attempts to update the NPAPI plugin (that's the FF one).

If this is the problem you need to update the ActiveX version.

*If this is regarding Flash Player, see this, among many: http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/512...

Regards;

Fred

Bill,
Akamai manages professional programme downloads for Adobe.

Just navigate to the file - right click & delete it.

The next time U want to update your Adobe product they will reinstall the latest version.

@Maurice, thanks, didn't read every detail but I don't remember seeing that on their site.
