This is a problem with PSI showing an incorrect application version for SUMo from KCSoftwares. The application has been updated to version 2.9.1.93. PSI is showing version 2.8.2.91. Sorry if this is not the correct venue for reporting problems but I could find an email address for support at Secunia. Thanks.

Hi mykelturn;

Welcome to the Secunia forum.

PSI sometimes find old files that are left behind after an update.

> check to see if SUMo is listed also in the "Patched" tab. If so, use this to find the old stuff.

=======
If not already, please run PSI in Advanced Mode.

To do this click on the PSI icon, in the system tray, to open the interface. In the top right corner, is "SIMPLE" blue in color and "ADVANCED" black? If not, click on "ADVANCED".

Click on the "Insecure" tab, Click on the [+] to the left of the program in question.

In the "Toolbox" click on the "Technical details" icon. Listed under "Version Detected:" it shows the old version PSI is reporting. The "Installation Path" is where PSI is finding the old stuff.

To go there, click on the "Open Folder" icon. This will open the folder where the old file(s) is(are).

Hi,

I have installed version 1.9.1.93 of SUMo, and have not been able to reproduce this issue. The PSI is showing 2.9.1.93, and since the file it uses for detecting SUMo (SUMo.exe) also has no incorrect file information, there should be no problem.

Have you tried rescanning?

Everything appears to be ok now. "Blankety-blank-blank!!!!" Don't know what may have happened to cause the error. Oh well anyway .... "carry on smartly"!
Thanks.
