I have uninstalled my Adobe Flash Player 10, but I still received patches from
Secunia to "fix". Should I have to install those fixes?

Hi,

If you have removed the Flash Player, and wish to permenantly and truely remove it, there is no reason to apply any patches. What the PSI is most likely detecting is old, leftovers from previous installations, or versions of the file we detect copied to backup drives.

To remove Flash Player for good, use Adobe's own removal instructions: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

hope this helps.

Thank you very much, Emil. I am going to try your suggestion to completely remove Flash Player. It has caused me grief before. I hope I won't be sorry for uninstalling it. Is there any comparable program out there that wouldn't be so troublesome? Truthfully, I'm not even sure why have it there--what does it do for me? Thanks!
