Default patch language is english istead of the system language. This is bad. |

This observation has been raised before & answered by Secunia as follows: Currently, there are no localizations of the Secunia PSI 2.0 Beta. As the interface is still changing (and will probably continue to change during the Beta period), any translation we made now would have to be re-made with the final release. Furthermore, since our translators are all volunteers, there is no "set" date for when the Secunia PSI 2.0 Beta will be translated to all languages supported by the current stable version. It is common practise to release BETA (test programmes) in only one language which is normally (International) English. The stable version that caters for all languages remains 1.5.0.2 http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal... -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 SP1 16GB RAM |

Of course it is what he asked for. The WHOLE of the BETA is in English that would include any downloads so that Secunia can correct errors and those with knowledge TESTING the BETA can send logs/scripting errors etc. The BETA is a follow on from the PREVIEW version where it was clearly stated EVERYTHING would be in English. It is not TRIALWARE - it is in BETA. -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 SP1 16GB RAM |

Hello all , As I understand and as was discussed with Secunia at the time of launch , there is a selection of other than the international (English) patch for certain programmes which are auto-updateable : this is taken from the changelog :- ""Language support in Auto-Update: You are now able to configure the language of programs, such as Mozilla Firefox that ships in multiple languages, enabling the Secunia PSI to download and install the selected localised version ."" In 2.0 Beta 1.9.0.4., if I look in the auto-update module for Mozilla Firefox , I am able to select some 30 odd installation languages apart from the default . If such an option is available for any of your programmes , it will clearly be displayed in the individual programme module . As a Beta , in general the non-auto-update "solution" offered by the English speaking Beta PSI will be in English as the International installer - that is the only language version available and you have no input ; if you wish otherwise you will need to go to the website direct and input your selection prior to/during install . I hope that is clear enough . Anthony -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |

But the default option is named "default" which should mean system language. | ||||||||

| Hi, Currently, the PSI will always default to English, unless you have specifically set another language for any one program. To set a new preferred language for any auto-updateable program that supports this, double-click the program's entry in the Results tab, and choose your language from the "Preferred Language" box. However, I see the validity of your point: It makes more sense for the PSI to default to the system language. I will suggest this improvement to our developers, and ensure that your feedback reaches our ticket for the issue. hope this helps. |
