I have the latest version of Amaya (free, from http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/BinDist.html), version 11.3.1. My latest scan by Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI) 2.0 BETA reports this as version 9.0.1.0 and tells me this is an End-of-Life program. I can see why: amaya.exe has a Windows version number property of 9.0.1.0, presumably because a programmer at W3C forgot to update the Windows resources defining that number. It would be better if Amaya 11.3.1 could be recognised as such, rather than as 9.0.1.0. Otherwise, perhaps the end-of-life warning should not be shown for Amaya, to avoid false alarms. |

If you can find an active file say an .exe or a .dll or similar in the programme folder whioch does display the correct version number , you can suggest this using the "are you missing a program" link at the top right of the results page/tab . You should also bring this problem to the attention of the vendor/supplier of the programme . Hope this is clear enough . Anthony PS : version 9.x is EOL so it is not a false warning for those who have not updated this version . The PSI cannot make a guess at such events . -- It always seems impossible until its done.
