Breaking down the German results I'm getting following numbers: Oct 14th, 2010 18:13 MEZ Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Average Secunia System Score: 94% Average Patched Programs: 260 Average Insecure Programs: 4 Average EOL Programs: 1 Thüringen Average Secunia System Score: 95% Average Patched Programs: 127 Average Insecure Programs: 16 Average EOL Programs: 1 Obviously those numbers don't fit together so you can hardly trust them. Not sure that that is Franz's point , Mogs . Ithink it is the N° of "insecure" programmes as a % in Thuringen which sticks out like a sore thumb . This table might explain as Thuringen seems to have gone "insecure" crazy in the last 24 hours :- http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal... If you you look at the full set of data for the 5 reporting choices from the dropdown menu , then you will see other curiosities like Mecklenburg-vorpommern has had a big jump in the past few days concerning patched programmes :- http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal... As Disraeli is supposed ** to have said : "There are three kinds of lies : lies , damned lies and statistics" . Nothing earth shattering , I prefer star gazing :)) Take care Anthony NB :**http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lies,_Damn_Lies_and_S... PS : I'm partial to a Riesling Kabinett or a Spatlese from the Rheingau , if that helps . -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |

Hi, I still think there is something wrong with the numbers shown. For instance the region of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern: with 260 Patched Programs + 4 Insecure Programs + 1 EOL Program the System Score should be 98 and not 94. In fact I do not trust the amount of Patched Programs. This has doubled within 7 days for this region and why should this region have 260 Patched Programs, while the other German regions have an average between 98 and 126? For region Thüringen it looks a little bit different: with 127 Patched Programs +16 Insecure Programs + 1 EOL Program the System Score should be 88 and not 95. Here I do not trust the number of Insecure Programs. A dramatic increase from 4 to 16 within 1 day is just unbelievable. Again, all other German regions have a value of 4. Ok, the hole problem is not a big deal at all. Who trusts statistics anyway? Otherwise I'm very satisfied with 2.0. No problems at all. Win 7 64 bit. Regards Franz |
