I would like to uninstall IE completely. I uninstalled IE8 and now version 7 is left. What should I do?

Hi

You can disable IE from the control panel "Program and Features" or "Add/Remove Programs"

Simply select the component in the menu "Turn Windows features on or off"

Please note that some programs might not work properly without IE and that there will still be some core files left which is needed by the system.

The PSI also uses the settings shared with Internet Explorer, so in case you need to change them after wards, you will have to do that in the Control Panel "Internet Options"

Thanks for your answer - I am using VISTA Home Edition 32 bit and IE does not appear under control panel "Program and Features" or "Add/Remove Programs"

Where ist the feature "Turn Windows features on or off".
Thanks

'Turn Windows features on or off' is at the bottom of the list of tasks on the left of the 'Programs and Features' window. It has a security shield against it. But you won't find Internet Explorer there in Vista. It's not really possible to completely remove Internet Explore from Vista.
