Rebonjour ,

Je sort pour quelques heures ; en attente :-

Use the PSI in "advanced" mode - use the link top right of any page of the PSI .

Tell us in which "tab(s)" you can see a version of the problem programmes .

"Cliquez" on the [+] on the left end of each problem and the page will expand ; post here the full "installation path" and version numbers for Thunderbird and OOo ; also look for your full OOo version number in "help/about" about from within the programme - is it the French version ??

Salut ,

OK . Let us do the simple first , but please solve a problem before going to the next one and then report back ; that is the best way for both of us :-

1)Mozilla Thubderbird : The latest version of Thunderbird is version 3.1.5 and you have "insecure" 3.1.3 . The PSI is set to "auto-update" and will do so the next time TB is not in use . By default it will load the English/International version ; if you double click the programme entry or click the [+]and then double click the entry a new window will open and you will see that you can select the download language - I repeat , the "default" is English - you may be using a French version :)).

2)Google Chrome : Your 4.x version is both very out of date - end of life - and insecure . The latest stable 7.x version can be downloaded from here ; you can select your language in the menu top right :-

http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/landing_chrom...

The new 7 version may leave an old file behind ; if so report back and we will handle it - one step at a time is best :))

3)Reg Cleaner : Your version 4.x is out of date and no longer supported by the vendor so the PSI calls it "end of life" . You can get the latest version from here :-

http://download.cnet.com/TweakNow-RegCleaner/3000-...

4)Adobe Acrobat : Your version 9.1.2.82 is extremely insecure and is complicated to update . The "install solution" offered in the PSI should not be used .

You need to read and understand this thread especially the post and links showing in JBH's post of 24th Oct, 2010 @04 : 49 . After that we will look at how you update ; either a full uninstall/reinstall or adding all the patches we define that you need and we make a list of in between your 9.1.2 and 9.4 like JBH has done ;-

http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/599...

Take your time and ask again if you do not understand anything .

Allez , au bulot .:))

By replying to relevant threads, will hopefully keep them on the first page, and relegate this overload of spam to the second page.
Apologies for unnecessary e-mail update.

Normally , if the "about" in your Acrobat programme's "Help" menu says you have updated to version 9.4. , then you have . The PSI may not see this until a reboot or perhaps a cold restart and the a full scan has been run .

The Beta will see some updates without the scan , but not all .

Come back later with your news .

You need to follow my instructions for Chrome and RegCleaner as posted above ; you need to delete the folders :-

They will not be removed/deleted until you do the job .

If you have deleted them , are they still in the "recycle bin" ; click the [+] to see the "installation path" ; if they are still in their normal place , then click the 2eme folder icon which says "open folder". For Chrome , right click the old folder with the 4.x numbers and select delete . For RegCleaner delete the whole folder or reinstall 5.x over it . The PSI will still detect these folders/files if they are still on your machine and that includes the rubbish bin :))

If it helps , repost a new screenshot with the [+] clicked and the path details showing .

Does that help .

Anthony

Late EDIT : so that you know , the PSI is not able to detect the latest RegCleaner version 5.2.0000 ; i have asked Secunia to look into it

Bonjour ,

Click the [+] on the left of the Chrome and Adobe entries and repost the screen capture so I can see where the PSI is locating your problem .

I see that you have a separate version of Adobe Reader 9.x listed as up to date - click that [+] box as well .

Do you have an up to date version of Chrome 7.x showing in the list (lower down) ??

OK : First please answer my question which I asked earlier ; do you have an up to date version of Chrome 7.x listed by the PSI ?? If so what is the file path of the listing - click the [+] and tell me the full path you see in "detected instances" ** - you can use highlight and Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy and paste ithe info if you need .

The reason I ask is that Chrome 4.x is not in the expected location ; usually it is in the C:\Documents and Settings\.. folder and not the ..\Program Files\... folder .

** for your information , if you double click the path a new window will open and at the upper right side is the "Toolbox" and it has a link called "Troubleshoot Report" and gives more complete information to copy and paste .
