Hi

Microsoft Office sometimes comes pre-installed on new computers.

Try to look at the installation path of the Microsoft Office 2007 installation that the PSI detects.

It may be in a recovery or backup folder.

Let us know if you need help.

As I understand, you have Microsoft office installed and you wish to remove it since you use open office?

If that is the case you should be able to uninstall Microsoft office with the "Programs and Features" tool in the Windows control panel

Sorry - can't offer specific advice (I also use O.O), but, so far, I think the dog has been chasing his tail.

As I see it, your situation is this:

You have both M$ Office 2007 and Open Office installed;
Through choice, you use O.O.;
As M$ Office is paid for, you are reluctant to uninstall/ delete, but don't want to pay more to update (upgrade?) - I'm not sure you have to (?); - as and when PSI reports an insecurity -- what should you do (bearing in mind all of the above)?

Anyway, that's how I read it - but I'm not sure Morten saw it the same way, which might have confused the issue (hopefully, I haven't).
