This is from the advanced tab, I have been trying to delete this active x from my computer. Went to the command prompt and tried to bring it up like was said in some other members have written but with no luck. The installatio path is C:/WINDOWS/Downloaded Program Files/. I have windows xp home. I just cant find it. I have tried everything PSI has told me on the advanced tab put no luck. Is there any other way. I have no idea where it came from to begin with i have always had Mcafee Anti virus. Help Im a rookie. Just want to get rid of this insecure program PSI says is there. I would rather delete this then patch it by downloading this scanning program i dont use.

Have you tried this?:

Click [+] on l.h.s. of its listing, then click Open Folder icon.

Does this take you to the file location or do you get not found (or equivalent)?

TiMow

P.S.: coincidently, I had cause also to find this file - C:/WINDOWS/Downloaded Program Files/ - today for another reason.
I located it using "search" - right click Start, and put the file (as above) in the the first box, and for the "Look in ", choose Local Hard Drive (C) - once found, double click (open) the icon, and you should see the ActiveX your looking for.

I tried this and nothing. Im lost. Im a rookie at this stuff. Just cant find the file. Through the command prompt or through search like mentioned. Could this be a false positive.

It is not a false positive if PSI has given U the path U have given.

RIGHT click on START>select EXPLORE>in the LEFT pane that appears click the + sign by the side of LOCAL DISK (C)>look down to the list & at the bottom is WINDOWS> click the + sign to expand it>look for DOWNLOADED PROGRAM FILES> click it to reveal all the files in the right hand pane.

The file will be in there. If U are not sure which one it is RIGHT click each one U can see & select PROPERTIES> that will show U which one is associated with Trend Micro. Delete it.

I hate to be a pain but i have tried it all and for some reason nothing. Not one file and nothing that has anything about Trend Micro, a activex for it nothing. I just want to delete the file that makes my computer insecure. Why is it so hard to find this file. Any more help would be appreciated.

Complete the action again that I gave U above.

Copy & paste all the files U see in the right hand pane & post them to the Forum.

To copy them:

Highlight the detail (left click & hold it down to capture) - with the keyboard press CTRL & C at the same time.

Now place the cursor in the reply box & select CTRL & V - it should now be posted to the Forum.

Have U now fixed this problem without posting the requested details to the Forum?
