Often I cannot locate an insecure program Secunia says it has found on my computer. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. |

Hello Victoria , For someone to help you , we need to know which version of the PSI you are using on which OS . You need to post the name of the insecure programme found by the PSI ; what is the version number and where does the PSI says it has found it ?? Take care Anthony -- It always seems impossible until its done. Nelson Mandela |

Hi Anthony, Thanks for the quick response! The two insecure programs I'm trying to find right now on my Windows 7 OS are: Adobe Shockwave Player 11.x 11.5.8.612 (NPAPI) C:\Windows\System32\Adobe\Director\SwDir.dll Adobe Shockwave Player 11.x 11.5.8.612 (ActiveX) C:\Windows\System32\Adobe\Director\np32dsw.dll Using my Search function, I can type the address of each file up to the back slash after System32, but as soon as I start to type Adobe, the file is not found. Secunia reported 4 insecure Adobe Shockwave Player 11.x on my system. When I patched the first one, it and the second one were eliminated from Secunia's report, leaving the above two, which I was just going to delete, but I cannot find them. Thanks again for your help. |

Victoria, U need to navigate to them via Windows Explorer. Right click on start>select WINDOWS EXPLORER>expand the C DRIVE in the left pane by clicking on the + sign>scroll down to WINDOWS>Expand WINDOWS and scroll to SYSTEM32>expand it and look for the ADOBE FOLDER>expand again & U will see the two files in the right pane> RIGHT click & delete them. Complete a full rescan of PSI & U should be OK. -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 16GB RAM |
